The reagent in the ampoule is a bright yellow colour. Mix your sample then compare with the colour chart provided. This test determines whether the Cocaine has been cut with: Ephedrine, Phenacetine, Paracetamol aspirin, Levamisole, Benzocaine, Lidocaine, Procaine,Vitamin C. Uncut cocaine does not react. This does not make the sample safe as some adulterants are not tested in this convenient kit. To find out the purity of cocaine please use the Cocaine Purity Test.
Benzocaine is a popular anaesthetic typically used by dentists. Dealers often use benzocaine because it has similar numbing effects as cocaine. It is extremely cheap and comes in the form if white powder.
People who often use cocaine mixed with benzocaine are at high risk of developing health complications and in worse case scenarios may lead to a condition known as methemoglobinemia. This condition causes tissues to die by having abnormal levels of hemoglobin in the bloodstream which causes low oxygen levels. If levels rise above 15% patients may experience cardiac and neurologic symptoms. If levels rise above 70% the condition may become fatal.
Levamisole is a drug typically used to deworm livestock, but in humans it can trigger a devastating immune-system crash called agranulocytosis. In other words, levamisole can destroy your white blood cells, leaving you susceptible to infections.
Lidocaine is a anesthetic that dealers cut cocaine with because of it’s numbing effects. Equal amount of these drugs will have a huge effect and may cause seizures and convulsions. This can also cause confusion, drowsiness and blurred vision symptoms which is temporary but can worsen with time and abuse.
